John Giles was a British architect, active in the latter part of the 19th century. ==Works==
Giles designed the Langham Hotel, London, built between 1863 and 1865 and, soon after, what is now known as the Petersham Hotel, Petersham.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=1863 – The Langham Hotel, Portland Place, London )〕 Giles, in conjunction with Lewis Angell of Stratford, submitted a design for Stratford Town Hall (now known as Stratford Old Town Hall), beating thirty competing entries. The building was completed in 1869 and extended by Angell in 1881.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=1869 – Public Office & Vestry Hall, Stratford, London )〕 Giles worked with associate Albert Edward Gough (died 1908) from premises in Craven Street, Charing Cross.
